Taylor Mathews didn’t start this company to be the biggest remodeling firm in the suburbs. He started it because he believed there was a better way to do this work, one where the homeowner actually knows who’s showing up, where the details don’t get lost between a salesperson and a subcontractor, and where the finished result reflects real craftsmanship, not just a completed punch list.
After years of working in the trades across the Western suburbs, Taylor saw firsthand what happens when a remodeling project gets too big for the people running it. Clients left wondering who to call. Quality varied from job to job and the personal accountability that should define this kind of work was missing.
So he built something different. A small, focused team. A vetted network of top-tier Chicagoland trades partners. A simple commitment to every homeowner who trusted his business with their home would have one person they could call, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
Nearly two decades later, that’s still how we work. Taylor is still involved in every project. The team is still small by design. And the home projects we’ve built across Wheaton, Hinsdale, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, and beyond are ones we’re genuinely proud to drive past.
